Massive Garden of Eden-1

 

The following is the information received after centuries of studying the planet known as Massive Garden of Eden-1.

 

Geological Study

 

In comparison, the planet is relative in size to that of Saturn from the Sol solar system; yet the gravity is somehow nearly equal to that of Earth’s (MGE = 1.02, Earth = 1.00).  Land mass is around 47 percent of the planet’s surface, with 10 percent space covered with ice at the two poles and the remaining 43 percent being made up of water.

 

Three large land masses are found on the planet, surrounded by giant oceans.  Each land mass contains usual sights that are found: valleys, mountains, rivers, lakes, forest, plains, deserts and caves.  There are small islands in the large oceans that are believe to have been created by volcanic activity, but studies at this time have not been done to research this theory.

 

The oceans are vast and deep, as expected for this planets size.  They have not been completely studied, but some of the creatures have already been looked at.  More on that subject later.  Large lakes are located on each of the land masses, one lake the size of the Atlantic Ocean found on Earth.  All water appears to be drinkable with minimal need for cleaning of unwanted micro-organisms.  Rivers range from tiny creeks to nearly as wide as the Earth’s Great Lakes.

 

Some areas of the planets have been probed and giant underground caverns have been discovered to exist.  These spaces have many rocky islands surrounded by either huge underground oceans or constantly flowing rivers of magma.  Scientists have called these underground caverns Hell Spaces for the feelings of oppression and sadness invoked by the scene of these areas.  It is known that some creatures do survive in these Hell Spaces and are dangerous.

 

Typical minerals have been discovered on the planet that could benefit the Galactic Organization, if it was not for the possible loss of personnel due to the wildlife.  This will be explained in the History section of this study.

 

Fauna

 

Original wildlife found on the plant resembled that which was living on Earth at the time of the 20th century.

 

Land:

 

Wildlife includes animals that resemble most mammals, such as dear, rabbits, cats, dogs, etc. etc.  Other creatures studied include insects, ranging from normal flying insects (flies, bees and moths) to non-flying insects (ants, grasshoppers, and arachnids).  All wildlife seems to have a stronger than usual drive for mating, believed to be due to the more dangerous wildlife that will be explained later in the History portion of this study.

 

Water:

 

Wildlife includes typical fish (ranging from small minnows in ponds to giant sharks) and some cephalopods.  The more dangerous of these creatures are found in the deeper fathoms of the ocean, far from the land masses.  Rarely are they found to go near the land and have only been spotted by probes and not studied directly.  Some wildlife found in the waters is dangerous and will be explained in the History portion of this study.

 

Flora

 

Plant life on MGE-1 is abundant and some areas are believed to have linked root systems.  The plants range in size from the smallest lichen moss to the giant trees in what is to believe to be the oldest forests of the planet.  As have been found on other planets, some plants are carnivorous and to capture and devour insects, while having a natural working relationship with them at the same time.  Some of these carnivorous plants are large enough to capture humans, and have done so.  This will be explained in the History portion of this study.

 

History

 

Planet Massive Garden of Eden I was discovered in the year 4269 by accident on the very edge of the Milky Way galaxy.  From orbit, the planet looked like it was untouched by any civilization, with a clear atmosphere that sported typical weather patterns, large land masses covered with nothing but natural appearance and oceans that gleamed blue.  The explorers that found it were quoted, though it is believed that they were not this eloquent, as saying that they had found the real Garden of Eden, taking their idea from the book of Genesis of the ancient Holy Bible.

 

After reporting their discovery and the scientist of the time liking the title, the planet was so named Massive Garden of Eden I (in hopes that there would be more discoveries of similar planets).  MGE-1 is a solitary planet that revolves around a single star, far from any other solar system and in no trajectory path of any meteors, comets, or other space debris.

 

As was typical of the time, militaristic survey teams were sent to many places on the planet to make sure that the planet was safe and clear the way for colonization.  After only one year, researchers were given the green light to begin setting up scientific colonies, along with small contingents of military personnel were kept on hand for any possible necessary defense.

 

The researchers and military contingent were close knit communities, including families in the colonies that were started.  Since the incident on MGE-1, this has now been changed and no families are placed on new planets until nearly a century after the first colony is established.

 

For five years, the colonies on MGE-1 were easy going, each and every person on the planet enjoying their time.  Some items brought back from the original colony sites have shown that they had even began to domesticate some of the herds of wild cattle and deer for food sources and a few wild dogs and cats for family pets.  As the rule was then and still is today, no animals were allowed to be placed on the planet to keep the integrity of the planets ecosystem from faltering.  This is the believed reason for the domestication of the natural animals.

 

It was near the end of these five years that tragedy struck the colonies, and it’s believed that it happened around the globe within a time frame of one week.  All contact with the colonies was lost for unknown reason.  Due to the distance between MGE-1 and the closest station, the first probe into the cause of the lost contact arrived about six months afterward.  It was another six months before the first military transport reached the planet.  What was discovered was a surprise to everyone.

 

Every colony outpost was abandoned and in ruins.  The local fauna had already begun to grow inside the compounds and wildlife was found roaming around the homes.  Very few remains were found and most of the colonists and soldiers were believed to have died in whatever attack had been set upon the compounds.

 

It was at this time when contact was made with one of the original colonist, Captain Harry Sykes.  His account of his own survival, and that of some other colonist found on the surface, was recorded before they were returned to the planet.  The captain’s story has been recorded in the encyclopedia that has been created of the monster women, under the Succubus entry.

 

Since that time, only a few researchers have been allowed to go down to the planet with knowledge that they will never leave again.  Something in the atmosphere affects the human form that causes it to react the same as those that are on the planet.  After spending a long period of time on the surface, humans are affected to the manner that they are incapable of living off of MGE-1.  If not returned to the surface within hours of removal, all creatures brought from the surface expire.

 

Over time, the progeny of those original colonists have come out of hiding and started to thrive and grow into communities.  A longer period of time has shown that the humans began to interact with some of the monsters, as well.  The new civilizations are at a period similar to the Iron Age of the human race in Earth’s history.  Surprisingly, some of the monster women have been showing their ability to work with humans while others still attack and use the humans as their food source and/or mates.

 

The Universal Organization for Planetary Protection have placed beacons around the planet’s upper atmosphere to warn ships from landing on the surface, and transmit the warning of how the planet’s atmosphere can and will affect the body and spirit.  Still, young men have been caught trying to land on the planet.  Those that are caught before landing explain, under penalty of death for attempting to disobey the law, that they were seeking the fabled sexual experience that the monster women offer.

 

Those that ignore the warnings and do make it close enough to the surface are caught by tractor beams that have been put on MGE-1.  These ships are brought down safely, far from any of the civilizations, so as not to impede in their initial growth.  Twice a month, the areas are checked for violators and their ships are picked up before they can be found by the humans living there.

 

More often than not, no one is aboard these ships and they are melted down for scrap.  On rare occasions, pilots and/or passengers may be aboard the ships, but they are usually in poor physical shape and exhausted after encountering the monster women that are on the planet.  Most are returned to the surface where their ships were found and left to become a food source for the monster women that they had been seeking.  This is a rule put in place as they are more likely to survive several years in the slavery of the monsters while only  a few painful hours off of MGE-1’s surface.

 

Monster Girl Encyclopedia

 

The list of information and pictures of the monster women found on planet MGE-1 comes from the researchers that have volunteered to live the rest of their lives on the surface.  These scientists have been sending back pictures with descriptions of the creatures’ information on a regular basis.  We are listing them in a top secret file now being called the “Monster Girl Encyclopedia.”  It is believed that a leak of this information has caused for those interplanetary visitors to try and go to the surface, without the knowledge of the planet’s effect upon their bodies.

 

An investigation has been started into the leak, but the damage has already been done for those that have received only partial information and wish to exploit the monster women for their own gain.  With help from the military’s Psychological Warfare department, we are putting out the rumors of the dangers of landing on the surface for humans; along with the lost travelers that have landed there, without it being an official statement.
